Dr. Roberts is a Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice, Cybersecurity, & Sociology. He holds a B.A. in criminal justice from Stockton ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ (1998), an M.A. (1999) and a Ph.D. (2002) in criminal justice from Rutgers ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ, and an M.S.(2016) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ. Dr. Roberts works several hours a week as an outpatient therapist at a community agency for children and teens who have experienced trauma and abuse. As a professor, he regularly teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice and Criminology and has previously taught courses on Drugs and Crime, Organized Crime, Corrections, Crime Prevention, and Globalization. Dr. Roberts conducts both qualitative and quantitative research and regularly presents at national and international conferences. He has also published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters on topics relating to barroom aggression, intimate partner violence, and drug abuse/treatment.
