Sangita Saha, Ph.D.
Sangita Saha, Ph.D., has been named an assistant professor in the Department of History. Most recently, she was a lecturer in South Asian History at Santa Clara ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ. Previously, she taught in the Department of History at the ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ of Michigan. She received a bachelor’s degree in history from Calcutta ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ, a master’s degree in modern history from Jawaharlal Nehru ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ, an M.Phil. degree in social sciences from Jadavpur ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ and a Ph.D. in history and women’s and gender studies from the ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ of Michigan. Dr. Saha has presented at conferences and workshops in the U.S., U.K. and Europe. Bilingual in English and Bengali, she has working proficiency in Hindi.
